STEP 2: BUILD YOUR WALKERS PAGE (Share your personal story of how your dog and GDRNE has changed your life to inspire friends, family and co-workers to support your efforts). NOTE: you do NOT have to fundraise for the event – you can sign up to walk and not fundraise. The more the merrier!!

Join us on Sunday, October 4th from 10:30-1:30 for our family and dog friendly fundraising walk. Sign up with your family, friends, and your pup to enjoy a gorgeous fall day out for this 3.2 mile walk around Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA—all while helping raise money for dogs in need. After the walk enjoy the vendors, food trucks, crafts, raffles and much more! It has been a tough year for Great Dog Rescue. We have had a record number of dogs with extreme medical needs, including surgeries and illness, which have depleted our financial reserves. Supporting the Walk & Wag will help us raise critical funds needed to keep saving those who need us most. Dogs like yours!! Every registered walker 5 years old+ receives a commemorative t-shirt. The first 100 dogs receive a commemorative bandana—so be sure to register now!!

Everyone can participate: Do you live too far to come join us in Wakefield or have a dog that wouldn’t do well with this many dogs? You can still sign up and walk in your own neighborhood or favorite spot. And if you can’t walk, you can still make a walkers page and support this event locally or from a distance. And if you can’t do either – please stay tuned for the week long on-line auction leading up to the event, and bid on amazing items such as hotel stays, restaurants, things for your dog, items for dog lovers, show tickets, and more!

Together we can make a better future for dogs in need!
